Community Resources for Children (Napa) was able to hire a dedicated staff member to help those interested in becoming licensed navigate the process, with ARPA funds. Of all the populations they have worked with, FFNs have been the group with the least success in completing the process and becoming licensed. The journey to become licensed is full of barriers that FFNs have a difficult time with navigating, from technology issues to bureaucratic issues like paying with a check and providing all of your information on paper. Catholic Charities offers trainings in First Aid/CPR and Mandated Reporter training, which can help with becoming licensed but is not specific with that goal in mind.
