Este curso de primeros auxilios enseña la prevención de lesiones y cómo responder a emergencias y accidentes. Esta clase cubre desde el nacimiento hasta la edad adulta\, aunque el enfoque está en las edades pediátricas atendidas en los programas de cuidado infantil. Esta certificación es por dos años solamente. Cada dos años deberá renovarlo. \nEsta clase se ofrece virtualmente (Zoom) durante las primeras 6 horas (Lunes\, Martes\, Miércoles de 6:30 pm a 8:30 pm). The core content of the Preventive Health and Safety training curriculum (excluding Pediatric CPR and First Aid) is arranged into three modules. Module 1: Prevention of Infectious Disease; Module 2: Prevention of  Injuries; and Module 3: Nutrition. This curriculum is for child care providers who are new to the field or experienced early care and education professionals who are taking the course to refresh their knowledge and assure they are up-to-date. This course contains the required lead poisoning prevention and nutrition content needed for child care providers to be in compliance. Please contact the Health and Safety Coordinator\, Gabriela Meneses at gabriela@bananasbunch.org for questions. Neither REFUNDS nor CLASS TRANSFERS are allowed for any reason. DESCRIPTION:This course complies with California State Regulations for child care providers and is EMSA-approved.\n\n\nMon – Wed\, Oct. 14 – 16 | 6:30 pm -8:30 pm\, 2 hour in-person training on  Sat. the 19th  \n This course complies with California State Regulations for child care providers and is EMSA approved. This class covers birth through adulthood\, although the focus is on the pediatric ages served in child care programs. This certification is for two years. \nThis class is offered virtually for the first six hours (Zoom) and then through a 2 hour in-person-practice at BANANAS. The last two hours are required to complete in-person at Bananas. Neither REFUNDS nor CLASS TRANSFERS are allowed for any reason.  Please register for a time slot wisely.  \nCPR / First Aid is not the same as the preventive health class. CPR / First Aid must be taken every two years to be licensed. If you have any questions about the class please contact the Health and Safety Coordinator\, Gabriela Meneses at gabriela@bananasbunch.org. \nTHE ZOOM LINK WILL BE PROVIDED BY GABRIELA 2 hours before the beginning of the class between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on the same day of the class.
